The Addicts’ Comedy Tour is a stand-up show about overcoming life challenges with laughter and strength. Mark Lundholm has appeared on Comedy Central, Showtime, A&E, CBS, and NBC. He wrote and performed his own one-man show off-Broadway in New York City reaching critical acclaim, and in his spare time created the now staple DVD series 'Humor in Treatment' and the Recovery Board Game. Kurtis Matthews has toured nationally and internationally since 1984, starred in the BBCs 'Find me the Funny', and appeared on A and E, VH1 and a number of other TV and radio shows. He performs in multiple anonymous recovery conventions, rehabs and private fundraisers each year and in 1999, he founded the San Francisco Comedy College (SFCC), which has become the most attended stand-up comedy school in America. Drawing upon their shared friendship and experiences around often persistent addictions, Lundholm and Matthews share colorful stories about life, love, jail, rehab and recovery, and keep you laughing along the way. Humor heals all wounds...eventually.

Prior to the show, Mental Health and Recovery of Knox and Licking County will sponsor the 'Recovery and Health Services Showcase’. The Showcase will be held on two floors within the Knox Memorial, Veterans Hall and the Memorial Ballroom, and will feature over a dozen recovery and social services organizations from Knox and Licking counties, as well as a recovery artwork exhibition, mocktail bar, and music.

Stage sponsor The Freedom Center has served Knox County residents in addressing their substance use and addiction challenges for over 30 years. The mission of the Freedom Center is promoting the growth and wellness of Knox County residents by providing prevention services and delivering accessible, respectful, evidenced-based treatment services for those battling mental health and addiction. Showcase sponsor Mental Health & Recovery for Licking and Knox Counties has a mission to use Recovery and Resiliency Methodology to enhance the quality of life for individuals and families, and to diminish the problems caused by alcoholism, drug addiction and mental illness for the residents of Licking and Knox Counties. The Mount Vernon Arts Consortium and both sponsoring organizations are pleased to welcome additional support from the Knox County Foundation and the Knox Community Hospital.

Rebellion is nigh in Matilda JR., a gleefully witty ode to the the anarchy of childhood and the power of imagination! This story of a girl who dreams of a better life and the children she inspires will have audiences rooting for the "revolting children" who are out to teach the grown-ups a lesson.

Matilda has astonishing wit, intelligence... and special powers! She's unloved by her cruel parents but impresses her schoolteacher, the highly loveable Miss Honey. Matilda's school life isn't completely smooth sailing, however – the school's mean headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, hates children and just loves thinking up new punishments for those who don't abide by her rules. But Matilda has courage and cleverness in equal amounts, and could be the school pupils' saving grace!

Packed with high-energy dance numbers and catchy songs, Matilda JR.is a joyous girl power romp. Children and adults alike will be thrilled and delighted by the story of the special little girl with an extraordinary imagination.
